THE ANALYSIS OF INVERSION IN VARIETIES OF ENGLISH IN GUY DE MAUPASSANT SHORT STORY CLOCHETTE AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING WRITING
Inversion in English is a widespread grammatical term used to describe the changes in the word order especially when it comes to describing the formation of direct questions and negative inversion.
According Cambridge Dictionary, inversion happens when we reverse (invert) the normal word order of a structure, most commonly the subject-verb word order.
In addition to the canonical NP–I0 –VP structure, English has a number of constructions in which the subject follows the inflected verb, these are called ‘inversion constructions’. ; Negative inversion necessarily occurs when a clause starts with a negative adverb or negative adverbial phrase which requires an inversion of the canonical declarative subject-verb word order (Camus, 2018; Horner, 2014).; Short story included to literature, based on Roberts and Jacobs (2006:2) state literature is composition that tells the story, dramatized a situation, expresses emoticon, analyze and advocates ideas. ; According to Abrams (2013: 331) short story is a brief work of prose fiction, and most of the terms for analyzing the content elements, the types, and the narrative techniques of the novel are the apllicable to the short story as well.; According to Harmer (2004:86) writing is a process and that what we write is often heavily influenced by the contraints of genres, then these element have to be present in learning activities. ; Richards and Renandya (2002:303) state that writing is an activity that is not only in generating and organizing ideas, but also in translating these ideas into readable text.; Teaching writing is to give someone knowledge or to train someone; to instruct or to order or tell someone to do something causing to know or understand. ; According Harmer in Harsyaf and Nurmaini (2009:4) describe that the reasons for teaching writing to students of English as a foreign language include reinforcement, language development, learning style and most important, writing as a skill in its own right. ; Writing process consist of some stage, they are planning, drafting, editing and final draft (Harmer, 2004:4).

According to Norrish, Error Analysis can give a picture of the type of difficulty learners are experiencing. If carried out on a large scale such a survey, it can be helpful in drawing up a curriculum.; Mart (2012: 177) states that vocabulary is a knowledge of a word that not only implies a definition but also implies how word fits into the world.; According to Wishon and Burks (1980), in Ilmu (2019), the types of error: “nouns, possessive form of nouns, numerals, articles and their use, adjectives and adverb, connectors, prepositions and verbs”.
The thesis by Santi Iswahyuni (2014) Error Analysis on The Use of Simple Tense in Recount Texts Written By the 8th Grades Student of SMPN 3 Probolinggo.; Research journal By Brenda Khanadi (2019) Vocabulary Error Analysis on Speaking Performance in Descriptive Text

AN ANALYSIS OF FOREIGNIZATION AND DOMESTICATION OF INDONESIAN CULTURAL WORDS IN THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION ON MOVIE ENTITLED “BUMI MANUSIA” AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING WRITING
1. 1998 The Scandals of Translation: Towards an Ethics of Difference, Venuti states that "Domestication and foreignization deal with 'the question of how much a translation assimilates a foreign text to the translating language and culture, and how much it rather signals the differences of that text'".; 2. Nida and Taber in “The Theory and Practice of Translation”, say that translating consists of reproducing in the receptor (TL) the closest natural equivalence of the source language message, first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style (1982: 12) ; 3. Domestication according Venuti “is reduction of ethnocentric that adapts the foreign text to the cultural values of target language. While foreignization is an ethnodeviant pressure on domestic values to register the differentiation of linguistic and cultural of the foreign text” (Venuti, 1995, p.20).

THE USING OF SHORT STORY TO IMPROVING READING ABILITY OF ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENT
According to Harmer (2007), reading is crucial because of two main reasons. First, it is beneficial to the students’ personal life. Reading English texts may have a positive impact on students´ further studies and carriers or it may simply play the role of joyful reading. Second, it is beneficial to their language acquisition for reading improves students´ writing abilities, spelling and vocabulary knowledge. ;Samuels and Kamil (1988: 25), the emphasis on behaviorism treated reading as a word-recognition response to the stimuli of the printed words, where “little attempt was made to explain what went on within the recesses of the mind that allowed the human to make sense of the printed page”. ;Reading is not a passive mechanical activity but purposeful and rational, dependent on the prior knowledge and expectations of the reader. It is not merely a matter of decoding print to sound but also a matter of making sense of written language (Smith, 1994: 2).

according to Kira (2009:10), hyperbole can be defined as "a form of extremely, an exaggeration that either magnifies or minimizes some real state of affair".;Hudson in an Introduction to the Study of Literature states, “Literature is the expression of the life through the medium of language. It can be regarded as something essential since it contains real life”. (1960: 10).; Hyperbolic expressions can
occur in the form of words, phrases,
or clauses. Hyperbolic expressions
can be seen from some
characteristics. Claridge (2011:4)
categorizes the characteristics of
hyperbole into five categories
Hyperbole is one of the most widely used figurative language, not only in literature, but also in everyday language. It makes the massage of communication easier to catch since it emphasizes a contrast or even decieves the idea. Hyperbole in literary works is very interesting to identify because hyperbole and literary works can make the literary works more interesting to read or to listen. Furthermore, hyperbole has an easy characteristic to identify. ; Sense of depression is a normal response to many life’s stresses. It can be
characterized by adjectives such as adjectives as blue, melancholia, dejected, or
discouraged. It appears among this situation as people failure at work, loss of
beloved one, dispute with someone, or the realization of aging and serious illness.
Almost everyone feels depressed at times. Most people have period of
sense of depression when they feel sad, apathy, not interested in any activities,
even pleasurable ones. It is a normal response as people are faced with much life’s
stress.

Emotional intelligence (EI) is an important aspect for students’ achievement because emotional literacy programs improve children’s academic achievement scores and school performance (Goleman, 1995).
Goleman (1995) defines EI as the ability to persist against frustration, impulse control, gratification-delay, self-motivation, mood regulation and distress avoidance from swamping the ability to think, hope and sympathize.
Listening comes from word ―listen‖ (/ˈlɪs(ə)n/). Roland Barthes, a linguist, distinguishes between hearings and listening, stating, "Hearing is a physiological phenomenon; listening is a psychological act." Barthes also states that "whereas for centuries listening could be defined as an intentional act of audition...today it is granted the power (and virtually the function) of playing over unknown spaces" including unconscious forms. (Roland Barthes, The Responsibility of Forms, (New York: New York Hill and Wang, 1985), p.45)

Pragmatics is divided into four definitions by George Yule (1996) the first definition, he stated that pragmatics is the study of what speaker means. ; Deixis is a function of an item which refers to a relative location or position (as here and there) and a reference point such as (I, you, and them) which in the interpretation of the pronunciation depends on the context of the situation. According Levinson’s theory which categorizes the deixis into five majors: person deixis, time/temporal deixis, place/ special deixis, discourse/ text deixis, and social deixis (1983:68). According to May, “pragmatic studies use of language in human communication as determined by the conditions of society”. The conditions of society can affect and make effectual on how people communicate one another (2001: 6). According to Brown (2000:7), teaching is showing or helping someone to learn how to do something, giving instructions, guiding in the study of something, providing with knowledge, causing to know or understand.; According to Harmer (2004:86) writing is a process and that what we write is often heavily influenced by the contraints of genres, then these element have to be present in learning activities. Richards and Renandya (2002:303) state that writing is an activity that is not only in generating and organizing ideas, but also in translating these ideas into readable text. ; Teaching writing is to give someone knowledge or to train someone; to instruct or to order or tell someone to do something causing to know or understand. According Harmer in Harsyaf and Nurmaini (2009:4) describe that the reasons for teaching writing to students of English as a foreign language include reinforcement, language development, learning style and most important, writing as a skill in its own right. Writing process consist of some stage, they are planning, drafting, editing and final draft (Harmer, 2004:4).
