Theory:
- In the past, foreign language learning was limited to classroom and textbooks but today information and communication technology has provided language learners with many applications and programs for developing their language through computers, internet, mobile Smartphone (Eslit, 2014; Zayed,2016)
- Miangah and Nezarat in Sabri Ahmed 2019. have asserted that “although learning through mobile phones may take longer time compared to computers, learners feel a greater sense of freedom of time and place, so that they can take the advantage of spare time to learn a second language when and where they are” (309).
- Riyanto (2013) claims that WhatsApp can be used not only to socialize with friends, but also to study and even learn a new language.
- The use of ICT in education, including language teaching and learning, is a positive response to the development of the information and communication technology in the third millennium (Hartoyo, 2009)
- It is the acquisition or modification of any knowledge or skill through the use of mobile technology, anywhere, anytime and which results in the modification of behavior (Cavus, & Ibrahim. (2008).

theory
-e.” According
to Clark and Clark as cited in Dardjowidjojo, psycholinguistics
related to three main topics: acquisition, production, and
comprehension of language
-The core feature of dyslexia, consistently and systematically found in case studies and study groups, even when compared to controls with same reading skill levels, is the deficit of phonological awareness and on the phonological route of reading (Bogliotti, Serniclaes, Messaoud-Galusi & Charolles, 2008)
-According to (Peterson and Pennington 2012) the phonological deficit presented by dyslexics results from an unclear and degraded phonological representation. If speech sounds are poorly represented, stored and retrieved, learning graphophonic relationship is compromised. The advocators of this theory agree on the core and causal role of phonological deficit in dyslexia

THE COMPARATIVE STUDY OF STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE STUDENTS AT THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 1 KLIRONG IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2020/2021
Previous Study =
1. A thesis written by Dessi Fitria Alfina (2019) entitled ”The Comparison of EFL Vocabulary Mastery in Descriptive Text Between Male and Female Students at State Islamic Senior High School 2 Bengkalis”.
2. A thesis written by Bilkhis Sri Maharani (2020) entitled “The Differences Between Male and Female Students Abilities in Vocabulary Mastery”

Theory =
1. Definition Vocabulary
Vocabulary is a vital aspect in language, because it appears in every skill of language including listening, speaking, reading and writing skills Juhendi (2011: 4).
Ismawati, (2011: 207) said that vocabulary is a very important element of language, because one's thoughts can only be clearly understood by other people if they are not used using vocabulary.
Inayatul, (2013) Vocabulary is the collection of words that an individual knows.
According to Lado (1977: 182) in Azis (2011: 6) Vocabulary is words as units that were part of grammatical patterns. In that sense, a word could be an element which can stand alone as an utterance, it cannot be devided into two or more part similarity characterized.
According to Soedjito (2009: 24) vocabulary or vocabulary is defined as:
1. All words in a language
2. The richness of words possessed by a speaker or writer
3. Words used in a field of science
4. A list of words organized like a dictionary and brief, practical explanations
Kind of Vocabulary = If words have ability to be recognized in speaking and writing skill, they are called productive vocabulary but if words have ability to be recognized in reading and listening skill, they are called receptive vocabulary, supported by Lehret al. (2011, p.4). He also adds two types of vocabulary. First, words which students will need to understand and also used themselves, and we called this active vocabulary. Second, the words which we want students to understand (when reading a text), but they will not use themselves, we called this passive vocabulary.
The importance of vocabulary = Students with poor mastery of vocabulary cannot communicate in the target language well;consequently they will not be able to infer any ideas transmitted to them.Similarly, vocabulary is “ central to language and of critical importance to the typical language learner”as cited in Wardani,(2016, p.3).
Alqahtani (2015), furthermore, argued that the acquisition of an adequate vocabulary is essential for successful foreign language use because without an extensive vocabulary, a language learner will be unable to use the structures and functions we may have learned for comprehensible communication. Some research has shown that second language readers rely heavily on vocabulary knowledge and the lack of that knowledge is the main and the largest obstacle for readers to overcome (e g., Nation, 2001; Alqahtani, 2015).
Vocabulary mastery : Regarding to Rahman (2016: 3), vocabulary is important for the students to be mastered. If the students master vocabulary, they will easily increase their ability in language skills. When the students are limited in vocabulary development they will get difficulties in mastering language skills.
Hatch and Brown (1995) in Fadlan (2015:15)explain that vocabulary mastery has four components. They are: noun, verb, adjective, and adverb.
2. Gender
The word "Gender" comes from English, gender which means "gender". In Webster's New World Dictionary, gender is defined as the visible difference between men and women in terms of values and behavior. ( Jakarta: Dian Rakyat, 2010), hlm 29.
Simamora (2019) Gender is a trait inherent in men and women which is shaped by social and cultural factors, so that it is born with several assumptions about the social and cultural roles of men or women.
Puspitawati (2013) According to Puspitawati, the definition of gender is the difference between men and women in roles, functions and behaviors which are shaped by social, cultural or customary values.
Silvana (2013) According to Silvana in the Women Studies Encyclopedia, the notion of gender is a cultural concept, which makes a difference in terms of roles, behavior, and emotional characteristics between men or women who develop in society.
Gender (sex) is defined as a biological term based on the anatomical and physical differences between men and women (Baron dan Byme dalam Thyas dkk, 2014).
Elaine Showalter stated that gender is more than just differences between men and women seen from the socio-cultural construction (NasaruddinUmar, 2010: 30).
Olasehinde and Jhon (2014: 517) states gender refers to the social meanings associated with being a male or a female, including the construction of identities, expectations, behavoiurs and power relationships that derive from social interaction.
Male and female : According to Janet Holmes (2001) in (Rahmawati and Ummah 2017:129), male and female are the biological and physiological characteristics that define male and female.
Abilty of Male and Female: According to (Janson 2010), male and female have different ability. They may not have equal ability. There is some ability that only superior by one of them. Generally female are superior in some aspect, such as mathematic calculation, vocabulary, found an idea, memoriam and making relation in addition.
On the other hand, girls tend to be more vocal than boys, are better at hearing higher frequencies, and do better than boys in reading and vocabulary tests (Andi Asri, 2015: 159).
Female students find it easy to learn literatureand other social science, meanwhile male students find it easy to describe complex problems such as mathematics, physics, and the other natural sciences (Andi Asri, 2015: 159).
Another difference is that the male brain can do only one work at the one time, so if we talking with male on working, usually male do not listen to what we have talked. Sometimes, some male will quite if there's something problem happen and that makes a male really quietly(Andi Asri, 2015: 162).
The superiority of female students in language also appeared in a study conducted by Ling (2010).

Theory =
1. Theory of Test
According to Arikunto (2010: 53), a test is a tool or procedure that is used to find out or measure something in an atmosphere, in a predetermined manner and rules.
According to Sudijono (2011: 67), a test is a method (which can be used) or a procedure (that needs to be taken) in the context of measurement and assessment in the field of education, which is in the form of giving assignments or a series of tasks in the form of questions (which must be answered), or orders (which must be done) by the testee, so that (on the basis of the data obtained from the measurement results) a value can be generated that represents the testee's behavior or performance; which value can be compared with the values achieved by other testees or compared with certain standard values.
Function of test : Sudijono (2011, p. 67) said―in general, the test has two functions; as a measure of the students and as a means of measuring the succes of
Multiple choice : Parviz and Sorayya (2012, p. 145) stated that multiple choice test―are common devices fortesting students‘ reading comprehension. The candidate provides evidence of his/her successful reading by choosing one out of a number of alternatives.
2. Reading
As what Seravallo (2010, cited from Ginting and Sormin, 2010, p.3) stated that reading is thinking and understanding and getting at the meaning behind a text.
According to Lems, Miller, and Soro, (2010, p. 65)―reading is more than a merely referring to the activity which is pronounced of the printed material or the following each line of written passage. It is a complex activity that involves both perception and thought.
Pang, Muaka, Bernhardt, et al (2011, p. 6) saidcomprehension is the process of making sense of words, sentences and connected grammatical knowledge, experience with text and other strategies to help themselves understand written text.Gunning(2010, p. 1)mentioned that comprehension is also a constructive process in which students createmeaning based on their backgroundknowledge.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PARENTS’ SUPPORT AND THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN LEARNING ENGLISH VOCABULARY AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH PURWOREJO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021
Brown, (2001, cited in Utami, 2014), however, emphasizes the significance of vocabulary to communication by asserting that, in fact, survival level communication can take place quite intelligibly when people simply string words together-without applying grammatical rules at all.
Psychomotor domain of learning outcomes with respect to the skills and abilities to act consisting of six aspects, namely: reflexes, basic movement skills, perceptual ability, harmony or precision, complex movement skills, and expressive and interpretive movement (Sudjana, 2005: 22, citied in Fairuz Sakila 2018).
In oxford dictionary (2008:160, citied in Fairuz Sakila 2018), “family is a group consisting of one or two parents and their children, close relation, or the people descended from the some ancestor”. It involves very large domain.
According to Fitri Ayu Kusumaningrum (2016) conducted a researcher entitled Parents Support, Teachers Support, and Intelligence as Predictors of Mathematics Learning Achievement in Class XI of Yogyakarta Senior High Schools. stated that, the results showed that parental support cannot predict mathematics achievement in high school students.
According to Shute (2011) conducted a research entitled A Review of the Relationship between Parental Involvement and Secondary School Students' Academic Achievement. Stated that, Parents appear to have an important opportunity to influence their children’s academic achievement though the influence may not be as great as traditionally believed. Correlational studies have found modest associations between various PI variables and student academic achievement, with some of the most consistent relationships being reported for (a) parents talking with their child about school (b) parents holding high expectations for students’ academic achievement and (c) parents employing an authoritative (not authoritarian) parenting style.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN READING HABIT AND PRONUNCIATION ABILITY AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH PURWOREJO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021
According to Gaona (2011: 59-60) there are six aspects in gaining an effective reading habit, they are: reading frequency, books read, time spent on academic reading, time spent on nonacademic reading, motivation in the family environments, and motivation in the academic environments.
According to Ogbodo (2010: 231-232) there are some reading habit purposes which have either positive or negative result, such as: hobbial, recreational, concentration, deviational.
Fromkin, Rodman, and Hyams (2011) in Yusmita (2017) point out that English vowels are divided into two kinds of vowels, long vowels and short vowels.
Reading is an activity informed by the apprehension of images, shapes, patterns, and rhythms, which come to be recognized through repeated encounters and remembered forms; the meanings that are made in reading are in excess of the meanings that arise from the interpretation of written language (Lorange, 2014: 30).
Collins and Collins (2002, p.9) say that reading is an essential skill, perhaps the most important skill, taught in schools.
Reading is an activity informed by the apprehension of images, shapes, patterns, and rhythms, which come to be recognized through repeated encounters and remembered forms; the meanings that are made in reading are in excess of the meanings that arise from the interpretation of written language (Lorange, 2014: 30).

1. A Thesis written by Fia Nurotun Qolisoh (IAIN TULUNGAGUNG 2015) entitled the effects of pre-questioning technique on the students’ reading comprehension achievement in narrative text at the second grade of smp islam assalam jambewangi

Theory:
1. Reading comprehension is a multicomponent, highly complex process that involves many interactions between readers and what they bring to the text (previous knowledge, strategy use) as well as variables related to the text itself (interest in text, understanding of text types) (Klinger, et al 2007:8).
2. Narrative text is a piece of the text which tells a story and, in doing so,entertains or inform the reader or listener (Mark and Kathy, 2003:8).
3. According to Brown (2001:176) pre-questioning is defined implicity as some questions which are provide before the students read the whole text in order to build the students interes and motivation, also cognitif factors and pre-questioning is very useful to activate the prior konwledge, thus the students can predict what will be faced by them in reading text.

AN ANALYSIS OF SPEECH ACTS USED BY CHARACTER IN INSIDE OUT MOVIE AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING ENGLISH
Theory
Levinson (2008) stated in linguistic pragmatics, speech acts remain, along with presupposition and implicature in particular, one of the central phenomena that any general pragmatic theory must account for.
Marquez Reiter (2000) stated While using the language people do not produce only an isolated series of sentences, but also perform an action. In other words, by using the language, they either do something or make others do something such as thanking, requesting, promising, and so on.
Austin (1962) stated Sometimes, when people utter an utterance, it is not always to describe something. Instead, by uttering utterances, they actually do something.

AN ANALYSIS OF PARALLELISM USED IN JOE BIDEN SPEECH IN 20TH AUGUST 2020 AT DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION AND IT’S APPLICATION IN TEACHING WRITING
THEORY:
The word “Parallelism” is derived from Greek 'paralelas' which means phrases or sentences of similar construction and meaning placed side by side, balancing each other (Cuddon, J.A.( 1992). Dictionary of literary terms and literary theory. London: Penguin Books. )

Parallelism is the logical linking of two ideas by using parallel grammatical forms within or outside a sentence. It is an arrangement of the parts of a composition so that elements of equal importance are balanced in similar constructions. This arrangement may be applied to words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or complete units of compositions. Parallelism is a rhetorical device. (Balogun et al. 2018. Parallelism in Inaugural Speeches of Presidents Barrack Obama and Goodluck Jonathan. Lapai Research In Humanities. 5(1): 1-14)

Parallelism is the use of identical or equivalent syntatic construction in corresponding clauses or phrases. (Parallelism. Def. 3. American Heritage Dictionary. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. 2020. Ahdictionary.com. Web. 31 October 2020.
According to Ivany, parallelism can be divided into five overlapping types: syntactic, semantic, morphological, prosodic and phonic; where the other dominates none of them. (in Almehmdawi, S A. 2018. Parallelism in One of Hillary Clinton's Speeches: A Critical Discourse Analysis. Al-Muthanna University. Article.)

Hammer (2004) writing is a process consists of some stage. (in Angrainie, 2019)

AN ANALYSIS OF DEIXIS FOUND IN DONALD TRUM AND JOE BIDEN SPEECH SCRIPT IN THE 22TH OCT 2020 PRESIDENTIAL FINAL DEBAT AT ATLANTA
THEORY:
Pragmatics is the study of “invisible” meaning, or how we recognize what is meant even when it is not actually said or written. In order for that to happen, speakers (or writers) must be able to depend on a lot of shared assumptions and expectations when they try to communicate. (Yule, G. 2017. The study of language sixth edition. Cambrige: cambrige university press. www.cambridge.org/9781316606759)

Deixis is conceptualised in terms of an idealised cognitive model and a deictic expression is one that builds up a mental space in which the speaker and the addressee are co-present at a given moment in time, the mental space evoked by a deictic expression involves the conceptualisation of the deictic centre. (Marmaridou, 2010: 100 cited in Saputri, K. 2016. An Analysis Of Deixis In Black Swan Movie Script. Global Expert Jurnal Bahasa Dan Sastra. 5(1): 13-18)

Lyons and Fillmore classified deixis into three major types: person deixis, place deixis and time deixis. Later on, Levinson added two more types of deixis: discourse and social deixis. (Lyons, 1981 cited in Al-Tekreeti, A. S. S. (2016). A Pragmatic Analysis of Deixis in John Austin’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Unpublished M.A. Thesis, Suleyman Demirel University.)

Yule classified deixis as three major types person deixis, spatial (palce) deixis, temporal (time) deixis. (Yule, G. 2017. The study of language sixth edition. Cambrige: cambrige university press. www.cambridge.org/9781316606759).

THE ANALYSIS OF PRAGMATICS ON DEIXIS IN O HENRY SHORT STORY FURNISHED ROOM AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING WRITING
1. According Patrick Griffith, “Pragmatics is about the interaction of semantic knowledge with our knowledge of the world, taking into account contexts of use”. Pragmatics is divided into four definitions by George Yule (1996) the first definition, he stated that pragmatics is the study of what speaker means.
2. Deixis is a function of an item which refers to a relative location or position (as here and there) and a reference point such as (I, you, and them) which in the interpretation of the pronunciation depends on the context of the situation. According Levinson’s theory which categorizes the deixis into five majors: person deixis, time/temporal deixis, place/ special deixis, discourse/ text deixis, and social deixis (1983:68). According to May, “pragmatic studies use of language in human communication as determined by the conditions of society”. The conditions of society can affect and make effectual on how people communicate one another (2001: 6). One of the theories in pragmatics is deixis.
3. Short story included to literature, based on Roberts and Jacobs (2006:2) state literature is composition that tells the story, dramatized a situation, expresses emoticon, analyze and advocates ideas. According to Abrams (2013: 331) short story is a brief work of prose fiction, and most of the terms for analyzing the content elements, the types, and the narrative techniques of the novel are the apllicable to the short story as well.
4. Definition of teaching is not only transferring knowledge to the student, but it is guiding the students in order that they are able to be success. Harmer (2001:56) states that teaching is to give someone knowledge or instruct or train someone, or to show somebody how to do something or to do change somebody’s idea. According to Brown (2000:7), teaching is showing or helping someone to learn how to do something, giving instructions, guiding in the study of something, providing with knowledge, causing to know or understand.
5.Definition of writing according to Harmer (2004:86) writing is a process and that what we write is often heavily influenced by the contraints of genres, then these element have to be present in learning activities. Richards and Renandya (2002:303) state that writing is an activity that is not only in generating and organizing ideas, but also in translating these ideas into readable text.
6. Teaching writing is to give someone knowledge or to train someone; to instruct or to order or tell someone to do something causing to know or understand. According Harmer in Harsyaf and Nurmaini (2009:4) describe that the reasons for teaching writing to students of English as a foreign language include reinforcement, language development, learning style and most important, writing as a skill in its own right. Writing process consist of some stage, they are planning, drafting, editing and final draft (Harmer, 2004:4)

THE ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH BORROWING WORD IN OSCAR WILDE SHORT STORY THE HAPPY PRICE AND OTHER TALES AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING VOCABULARY AT TEN GRADE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
1. Borrowing is the process of importing linguistic items from one linguistic system into another, a process that occurs any time two cultures are in contact over period of time (Hoffer, 2002: 1). Then according to Shen (2009:64), borrowed word is crucial part in the area of social contact, linguistic research and vocabulary study. Li-na (2016 : 209) states that a loan word or borrowing is a word adopted from a source language and incorporated into a recipient language without translation.
3. Vocabulary learning is an essential part in foreign language as the meaning of new word are very often emphasized, whether in books or in classroom (Alqahtani, 2015: 1). Definition of vocabulary according to Hiebert and Kamil (2005: 2), vocabulary is not a developmental skill or one that can ever be seen as fully mastered.
4. According McCarten (2007: 21) states that learning vocabulary is largely about remembering, and student generally need to see, say and write newly learned word many times before they can be said to have learned them. Meanwhile Hierbert and Kamil (2005:28) state that intensive or rich vocabulary instruction requires giving students both definitional and contextual information (i.e., information about what a word means and about how it is used), and providing them with opportunities to process this information deeply by applying it in ways that require creativy and connections with their existing knowledge.

1. Expressive speech act is a speech act that occurs when the speaker expresses his or her psychological state to the listener (Riloff al ,2011)
2. Yule (2010:133) states people use the term speech act to describe actions such as “requesting”, “commanding”, “questioning”, and “informing”.
3. Bublizt and Norrick (2011:23) state that pragmatics is fundamentally concerned with communicative action and its felicity in context, investigating action with respect to the questions of what action is, what may count as action, what action is composed of, what conditions need to be satisfied for action to be felicitious, and how action is related to context.
4. This speech act aims to express the speaker’s feeling state toward something (Tauchid&Rukmini, 2016)
5. According to Richards and Schmidt (2010:595), textbook is a book on a specific subject used as a teaching/learning guide, especially in a school or college.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING ONLINE LITERATURE CIRCLES TO ENHANCE THE STUDENTS’ CRITICAL READING SKILL AT ENGLISH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY OF PURWOREJO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2020/2021.
• Previous Study:
1. "Effectiveness Of Literature Circles On Students’ Reading Comprehension" by Dini Irawati (2016)
2. "The Effect of Literature Circles on Text Analysis and Reading Desire" by Halit Karatay (2017)

• Theories of Literature Circles:
1. Widodo (2016) contends that literature circles serve as a springboard for students to read the reading materials in which they are interested and share with their peers or group members what they have read in order to enrich their reading experience.
2. Judy Burner (2011) states that the benefits of this literature circles are:
a. Provides students choose reading material.
b. Encourages students-initiated discussion.
c. Engages most students.
d. Encourages active and purposeful learning.
e. Straightforward, easy to explain and understand.
f. Provides novelty.
g. Can be done as culminating activity or as a review for a more formal assessment.
h. Differentiation of content based upon selection of reading material and sample discussion questions.
3. According to Judy Burner (2011) how to teach by using literature circle strategy includes:
 Direct the students to choose their own reading selection.
 Assign student groups based upon chosen reading material.
 Encourage students to use sticky notes, highlighting, or other forms of note-taking.
 Tell students they will be participating in small-group discussions.
 Encourage students to make personal connection to the material.
 Explain that all students are to participate equally during the discussion.
4. Helgeson (2017) reported that using flexible grouping strategies in literature circles helped students improve their reading comprehension and understanding. Further, Barone and Barone (2016) revealed that assigning students with different roles in literature circles help increase their vocabulary. From a psychological viewpoint, Thomas and Kim (2019) found that students who participated in literature circles showed positive attitudes toward the reading assignment. Widodo (2016) added that literature circles promoted student engagement and empowerment in reading classrooms.
5. Devik Fry & LeSage (2010) believe that specifying roles and tasks helps to compensate for the varied levels of prior knowledge students bring to the text. By narrowing the reader’s focus, the role serves as a filter for constructing understanding. The roles challenge students to go more indepth with their class preparations and not just scan the text. As the students take turns filling all the roles, they are actively participating in gaining new knowledge.

• Theories of Critical Reading
1. Critical reading stresses on the exploration literary works by encouraging the learners to interact with literary texts based on their background knowledge and to acquire the new one (Langer in Alim 2010).
2. Tran Quang Ngoc Thuy (2015). The skill of critical reading lies in assessing the extent to which writers have provided adequate justification for the claims they make. This assessment depends partly on what the writers have communicated and partly on other relevant knowledge, experience and inference that you are able to bring into the frame.
3. Hajare et al. (2016). Critical reading a means of analyzing the structure and style of meaning. High school students read for facts while college students read for developing their logical reasoning skills and this can be done only through critical reading. Critical reading is a process which comprises of a more complex and deeper engagement of the reader with a text. It is a process which calls for analyzing, interpreting and evaluating on the part of the reader to seek answer not only to the question what the author has written but also to the question how the author has written a text.
4. Khonmri and Karimabadi (2015) maintain that critical reading makes a phenomenal contribution in EFL learners’ success by helping them accomplish the targets of their courses which they undertake efficiently and comprehensively.

2. "The Effect of Critical Discourse-Based Instruction on Iranian English Major Students’ Reading Comprehension" by Javad Javadi and Mohammad Mohammadi. 2018.

• Theories of Critical Discourse Anlaysis:
1. Fairclough in Anwar El-Said El-Sharkawy (2010). CDA is defined as a branch of discourse analysis, which is concerned with analyzing opaque as well as transparent structural relationships of dominance, discrimination, power and control as manifested in language.
2. Ali (2011). When critical discourse analysis is included in teaching reading, students will have awareness of the existence of exploitative social relations through the deconstruction of language use.
3. Koupaee Dar et al., (2010). CDA is both a pedagogical approach (i.e., an instruction modality) and an explicit knowledge about language or a conscious perception and sensitivity in language learning.

• Theories of Reading:
1. According to Hartmann and Stork cited in Zainuddin (2015), reading is the ability to get information from a series of graphic signs which can be a meaningful speech done by either silent reading or reading aloud.
2. Rodli (2015). There are three levels of reading comprehensions. Those are literal comprehension, inferential comprehension, critical reading, and creative reading. Literal reading comprehension relates to finding information stated in the text while inferential reading comprehension is about connecting ideas between one to another paragraph in a text.
3. Rahayu & Februariyanti (2015). Critical and creative reading include one’s critical thinking and awareness towards implicit ideas beyond the text. In the university level, students are prepared to be ready for real-world demands. Reading skill can give university students such reference and literacy to solve problems.

2. Definition of Word Stress
When a word has more than two syllables in English, one syllable will receive more importance than the others when it is pronounced. This is the syllable that receives the primary word stress. This means that the vowel sound of that syllable will be slightly louder, longer, and at a higher pitch than the other ones. For example, the word chapter is stressed on the first syllable.(Meidy, 2010 : 14).

- Teori
1. Teory of idiomatic
Researchers of idiomatic expressions in English in the past, for example, Makkai (1972), Weinreich (1969), Fraser (1970), have largely focused on the typology, semantics, and syntactic behaviour of such expressions, to the neglect of their functions in discourse, with a few exceptions, notably Strässler (1982), Fernando (1996), and Moon (1998), who analyze English idioms from pragmatic, functional and corpus-linguistic approaches respectively. As Carter (1998: 80) argues, lexical items require to be constantly interpreted and re-interpreted in discourse, and the values of lexis become significant once we move beyond constructed examples and take real texts into consideration.

- Teori

3. Teory of song lyrics
Music consists of two elements, sounds as the primary and lyrics as the secondary Lyrics have significant contributions to the music itself although it contributes as the second element of the music. Lyrics give the audience deep understanding about the message contained in the song, in other words, lyrics clarify the message contained in the song.

1. Teori of listening
Morley (1991, p.82 in Celce-Murcia, n.d.) states that “they expect to listen twice as much as they speak, four times more than they read, and five times more than they write”. Listening is the ability to accurately receive and interpret messages in the communication process. “Listening is not only hearing something”. Schwartz (2004, p. 2) argues that “it has been estimated that adults spend almost half of their communication time listening.

Lopera (2003) mentions some reasons why teachers should take songs to a teaching context. First, music has to do with social context. Second it may change students' mood. Third, it provides stimulation and entertainment as well as challenge and pleasure. Fourth, music maybe associated with happiness because it brings people's remembrances and dreams.

Metaphor is more a vehicle of cognizing the world than purely a rhetorical device. This paper first gives a brief review of traditional metaphor and modern metaphor in the West and then devotes a large space to elaborate on reasons for emergence of metaphor, characteristics of metaphor, working mechanism of metaphor, and then proposes suggestions on its application in language learning and teaching.

2. Teory of song
Through comprehension of idioms we can explore the deepest meaning in the song. There are a plenty of variations of language that can be found in the song, such as the variations types of figurative language, including idioms. Being interested in the study of idioms, especially the idioms that can be found in the song lyrics, the study will analyze idioms used particularly in the song lyrics sung by The Living End, which is composed by Chris Cheney, the lead vocalist and also the front man of the band.

Theory:
1. The Definition of Teaching
Teaching is the process of carrying out those activities that experience has shown to be effective in getting students to learn. Brown says, “Teaching is guiding and facilitating learning, enabling the learner to learn, setting the condition for learning. In this definition, teaching is the equipment in teaching learning process”.
2. The Definition of Writing
Writing encourages students to focus on accurate language use and because they think as they write, it may well provokes language development as they resolves problems which the writing puts into their minds (Harmer, 2014: 31). While Richards and Renandya in Fauziati, (2010: 45) state that writing is not only to the need to generate and organize ideas using an appropriate choice of vocabulary, sentence, and paragraph organization but also to turn such as ideas into readable text. Based on the definitions above, it can be concluded that writing is a process or activity to write something, develop the ideas in mind into sentences, paragraphs well based on the patterns.
3. The Definition of Procedure Text
Procedure Text is structured in different ways to achieve their purposes. The purpose of procedure text is to tell the reader about the process in making or doing something. By following the instructions, people can make and know the information. Hartono explains that procedure text is text that use to describe how something is accomplished through a sequence of actions or steps.
4. Whiteboard Animation
Whiteboard animations a user friendly software for creating hand-drawn, texts, images, and charts. It can be includes by music track or voice over on a11 virtual whiteboard as a canvas. The different names for whiteboard animation is video-scribing, telescribing, illustrated story, fast draw and explainer video.
5. Video

6. Sparkol VideoScribe
VideoScribe is software for creating whiteboard animations automatically. It was launched in 2012 by UK Company Sparkol. By April 2014 it had more than 250,000 users in 135 countries around the world. VideoScribe is developed in Adobe Flash and produces QuickTime movies and Flash videos. Video files can be exported to Quicktime video, Flash video or image sequences (JPEG or PNG).

Theory:
1. The Definition of E-Learning
E-learning is being introduced in the beginning of third millennium. E-learning make user can access course material everywhere via internet. Using e-learning can encourage and improve learner’s interaction in the class. Based on Agarwal & Pandey (2012), e-learning focuses on the use of technology in learning and education. Sangrà et.al (2012) said, e-learning can be defined as natural evolution of 7 distance learning which utilizes newest tool in technological context for arrangement in education. From those definitions, we can conclude that e-learning is learning which utilizes electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside traditional classroom and it refers to learning that delivered online.
2. The Definition of Vocabulary
Recent vocabulary studies draw on an understanding of lexis, the Greek for word, which in English “refers to all the words in a language, the 2 Teaching Vocabulary entire vocabulary of a language” (Barcroft, Sunderman, & Schmitt, 2011, p. 571). So it will probably not surprise you to learn that vocabulary also includes lexical chunks, phrases of two or more words, such as Good morning and Nice to meet you, which research suggests children and adults learn as single lexical units. Phrases like these involve more than one word but have a clear, formulaic usage and make up a significant portion of spoken or written English language usage. Also called formulaic sequences (Alali & Schmitt, 2012). So vocabulary can be defined as the words of a language, including single items and phrases or chunks of several words which covey a particular meaning, the way individual words do.
3. The Definition of Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a tool which facilitates students and teacher collaboration; also teacher can create and distribute assignments for students in an online classroom for free (Beal, 2017). It makes teachers simply build groups to share assignments and announcements. Google Classroom can be a tool that makes learners become active participants. Nagele (2017) said, teachers can create active lessons which are student-centered, collaborative, and unforgettable just through Google Classroom, because it provides easy-to-use learning features with students of all categories able to cooperate.
4. Media
Media refers to material that presented with words and pictures so that students can better understand the material if it is presented with words and also pictures rather than with words. According to Sariffudin (2013), in general, learning media means teaching and learning tool which can be used to stimulate skills of learners, thoughts and feeling, therefore to facilitate the learning process. Based on Mateer et.al (2018), media can be important in active learning such as group discussions or 12 case studies. Example of media can include a film, song or newspaper article, even students can make their own media. Media is an important component in the learning system, the communication process will not run optimally in learning without the media.

2. Febrina et al. (2019) states that textbook can be a reference for teachers in teaching students, especially in language learning.
3. Bojovic (2010) says that reading skill is a cognitive ability which a person is able to use when interacting with the written text.
4. Brookhart (2010) claims that there are three categories about the definition of the higher order thinking skill, (1) those that define higher-order thinking in terms of transfer, (2) those that define it in terms of critical thinking, and (3) those that define it in terms of problem solving.
5. Brookhart (2010) states that HOTS is conceived as the top end of Bloom’s cognitive taxonomy. Being able to think means students can implement the skill and knowledge they develop during their learning of a new topic.
6. Daniati and Fitrawati (2020:368) defines that HOTS is the ability to think through a dynamic framework that is useful for the transfer of real-life intelligence, critical thinking and problem-solving.

AN SOCIOLINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF STEREOTYPES IN WONDER WOMEN MOVIE
The term stereotype was introduced by Walter Lippmann in 1922 to describe
typical picture which comes to mind about a certain social group (Dovidio,
Hewstone, Glick, & Esses, 2010: 7). The word refers to characteristics which are
believed to belong to a group. Some characteristics are perceived to be parts of some
social groups.

In general, stereotypes are seen as the representation of traits which are
viewed as characteristics of social groups or of the individual members, particularly
those which distinguish groups from each other (Strangor in Nelson, 2009: 02).

Theory:
1. Definition of compound words:
Compound contain two or more words (or more accurately, two or more roots, all, one, or none of which may be bound; cf. blueberry with two free morphemes, and astronaut with two bound morphemes). Generally, one of the words is the head of the compound and the other(s) its modifier(s). In ordinary English spelling, compounds are sometimes spelled as single words, as in sawmill, sawdust; sometimes the parts are connected by a hyphen, as in jig-saw; and sometimes they are spelled as two words, as in chain saw, oil well (Delahunty & Garvey, 2010: 132).
2. Two or more words may be joined to form new, compound words (Fromkin, Robert, & Nina, 2014: 57).
3. In some of the examples we have just considered, there is a joining of two separate words to produce a single form. Thus, Lehn and Wort are combined to produce Lehnwort in German. This combining process, technically known as compounding, is very common in languages such as German and English (George Yule, 2010: 55).
4. Compounding is a process that forms new words not by means of affixes but from two or more independent words (Mihalicek and Wilson, 2011).
5. Delahunty & Garvey (2010: 133-134), states that There are a number of ways of approaching the study and classification of compound words, the most accessible of which is to classify them according to the part of speech of the compound and then sub-classify them according to the parts of speech of its constituents.
1. Compound nouns
a. Noun + noun: bath towel; boy-friend; death blow

6. Movies is simply short for motion pictures. Since we consider all cinema worthy of study, acknowledge that films are increasingly shot on formats other than film stock, and believe motion to be the essence of the movie medium, this book favors the term used in our title. That said, we’ll mix all three terms into these pages (as evidenced in the preceding sentence) for the sake of variety, if nothing else (Ricard Barsam, 2010: 3)
7. Movie is visualizes a story or dialogue on the screen. A movie is produced by recording image from the world with cameras, or by creating images using animation technique. The movie is a fictitious story, which is one writing-related literature (Famela, 2011).
8. Movie is a result of creative process of the film often find ourselves trying to associative with what we see and search for similarities between these character and ourselves. They can develop our progress to consider thing morally (Trianto, 2013).
9. Movie genres:
a. Action: stories whose central struggle plays out mainly through a clash of physical forces.

Theory
1. Types of sentence according to Delahunty & Garvey (2010: 69-72)
a. Simple sentence
It consists of only a single clause and have only one main verb, one subject, and one predicate, though they may include modifiers of various sorts. A useful way to begin identifying clauses in sentences is to count main verbs. For each main verb there will be a clause. Example: Linguists write slowly. Dogs chase cats. Peter O’Neill is missing. Cyclists should always wear bike helmets.
b. Compound sentence
